Metal-air battery

Metal-air batteries are considered next generation energy storage devices due to larger theoretical energy density than lithium-ion batteries. They are assembled from metal anode, electrolyte and cathode using oxygen in ambient air. Our research group focuses on development of highly active, stable catalyst to promote Oxygen Reduction Reaction(ORR) and Oxygen Evolution Reaction(OER) in cathode to improve the performance and stability of Metal-air batteries.
